Lower levelled Wind Druids can also benefit from the skill bonus and Faster Cast Rate, not having Staves or Wands to adequately fill their weapons slot. This is a very popular option when not dual-wielding claws.

Creating Spirit in weapons for end-game builds is less common as there are many other better options (such as Heart of the Oak), but it can be constructed in a Phase Blade to help Trapassins increase their Teleport speed when using Enigma and increase their trap damage at the same time. Spirit is very commonly made in swords for low level casters, as its stats outclass practically all other set, unique, and rare items and it is very easily made. It is a Ladder only runeword in Lord of Destruction, but is available for all players in Diablo II: Resurrected. It is fairly inexpensive considering the +2 to All Skills bonus that comes with it.

Spirit is an excellent end-game caster Rune Word that can even be used by low-to-middle level characters. 1.10–current Spirit is the rune word ' Tal Thul Ort Amn' for swords or shields in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
